What is the Lake Chelan Community Center?

The Lake Chelan Community Center will be a 46,000 sqaure foot community facility featuring:
 A 10,000 square foot auditorium which includes space to facilitate:
  • A full-size basketball court (two practice basketball courts or three volleyball courts, four pickleball courts, or a community meeting space)
  • A 1200 sq. ft. events stage (capacity for up to 630 people)
  • A community meeting space
  • A mezzanine viewing area above the auditorium
  • Family restrooms
  • Mother’s lounge
  • Second floor with leasable space

Outdoor Courts and Lawns featuring:

  • Sand volleyball courts
  • Outdoor pickleball courts
  • Leasable event space - outside of commercial kitchen and event room

An Aquatic Center

  • A six-lane, 25-yard competition swimming pool
  • Splash pad, therapy pool, bathhouse, pool enclosure
  • Family restrooms

An Indoor Children's Play Area

5 Multi-Purpose Rooms

Workspace Center

Coffee Shop

Leasable Private Office Spaces

An Event Room

And A Commercial Kitchen

Who will be able to use the Community Center? Will there be a fee?

The Community Center is for EVERYONE.  The Chelan community, the Manson community, AND all the surrounding communities!

The Community Center is developing programs, partnerships and scholarships so that everyone can participate and use the facilty regardless of personal finances. Everyone will be able to benefit from the Chelan Community Center facilities.

Lake Chelan Community Center is being built around these CORE values:

What stage of the project is the Community Center in? When will it open?

Completed:

  • Property purchase

  • Planning, design & engineering

  • Site leveling

  • Infrastructure (power, sewer, water)

  • Foundations

In progress:

  • Main facility construction

  • Framework of gym

The community center is set to open sometime in 2023.

Where exactly is the new community center located?

1 mile from downtown Chelan and 6 miles from downtown Manson.

How is the Community Center funded and how can I help?

The Chelan Community Center is currently in phase 2 of the fundraising process. The community center is funded by grants, foundations, volunteers, generous contributions from our local community members. There is still a major need for funding and help to get this beautiful state of the art facility ready for our community to enjoy and benefit from for years to come!
