Let's face it, selling a home in today's online-virtual tour-shop from home culture has required would-be home sellers to jump through many more hoops than they might have had to do even just 10 years ago. Now imagine you've lived in that home for more than 40 years!  My mom used to tell me that the reason she had next to nothing in any of her guest room or storage closets was because she and my father had moved so many times throughout their marriage. My husband and I are on our 8th home, and that strategy hasn't worked for us....but I digress. My point is that when you live somewhere for a long time, have a big shop/storage building, it's not unusual to accummulate alot of extraneous "stuff".

In this case it took the Seller and her family 4 months to purge and prep the house for sale, but she did all the right things and, as is usually the case, sold for more than she would have if she hadn't taken the time to prepare the property properly (say that 3 times fast)

While listed, the market did begin to soften and so we proactively got in front of that with a minor price reduction and were sold at full price within 3 days.

This was a home the owner built with her husband. Where she raised her children, and then the house she found herself alone in and no longer wanting to maintain the acreage herself after her husband's passing. She was thrilled to meet the new buyers and see how excited they were about both the property and hear about their plans for future remodels.

Today she is happily moved into her new, more manageble home. She is close to friends and able to be more social in her new community.

Our market may be normalizing, but the sky is not falling. There will always be people who need to buy and sell properties because as I've said before,
